Riley Newberg

Lead Instructor
Riley Newberg

As a Wyoming native, outdoor activity came naturally to Riley, everything from archery to whitewater rafting. At an early age, his parents introduced him to downhill skiing, snow shoeing, canoeing, multiday rafting trips and encouraged him to find his outdoor passions which now include fishing, hunting, mountain biking, rock climbing and scuba diving. Joining the Boy Scouts introduced him to the importance and the joy of youth camps; he attended several camps in Idaho, in Utah, and in Wyoming plus the 2017 National Scout Jamboree in West Virginia.

Riley uses these camp experiences to assure campers have educational, safe and fun experiences. As a lifelong learner, he understands the importance of giving back and self-growth whether it be working as a life guard, teaching swim lessons, or as mountain bike technician. Riley is studying Environmental Science and Education at the University of Wyoming, and he holds certification as a PADI Open Water Diver, Water Safety Instructor, Wilderness First Responder, National Youth Leadership Training and holds the rank of an Eagle Scout with a Bronze Palm.
